This invited lecture explored design and colour strategies of the 1950s and the ways in which the ‘Birth of the Cool’ stood as a unique colour/design aesthetic that continues to resonate today.
The lecture was delivered to undergraduate and postgraduate students at COFA (College of Fine Art, now the Faculty of Art & Design) at the University of New South Wales, August 2009.
