Invited lecture – COFA, UNSW

This lecture was a joy to research and deliver. It explored the origins and ideologies of the Bauhaus, dating from the Wiener Werkstätte through to the various iterations of the Bauhaus before it was closed by the Nazis in 1933.

The curriculum, pedagogy and design ideology of the Bauhaus was extremely influential. It continues to influence contemporary design practice today, particularly product design, industrial design and graphic design.

This invited lecture was delivered to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the College of Fine Art (COFA) at the University of New South Wales, now known as the Faculty of Art & Design. March 2009.
