Light encourages engagement and improves perceptions of safety. Impulse is a public art installation in the Place Des Festivals, Montreal, that illustrates the positive impact of light. Thirty illuminated see-saws along with a series of video projections on nearby buildings have completely transformed the area.
A collaboration between CS Design and Toronto-based Lateral Office, the installation not only encourages engagement in the area and improves perceptions of safety, it also brings joy – evident on the faces of adults and children alike.
