Colour + Children + Imagination = PLAY[ground], a collaborative effort involving HASSELL architects, Archikidz and Sydney Living Museums. A temporary three-day installation, insights from this project will be used to inform future strategies for public engagement. ‘Playability’ is seen as a way in which to bring joy, not just for children but adults as well.
Aiming to encourage engagement and ‘candid conversation’ with children about what they want to see and experience in the city, PLAY[ground] was installed in Hyde Park Barracks Sydney in June 2015. The project illustrated some of the simple ways in which the city can become more child-friendly.
