I was very chuffed to be advised by the peer-reviewed journal Color Research and Application that my article ‘Traditional colour theory: A review’ was the ‘Top Downloaded Article’ for the year 1 January to 31 December 2021!
The article was prompted by David Briggs (previously president of the Colour Society of Australia) and Robert Hirschler who bemoaned the lack of a coherent definition of traditional colour theory. The paper was also inspired by the relative lack of understanding about this branch of colour theory, especially in terms of its origins, intentions, purpose and practical nature. An abbreviated version of this paper was published in the Encyclopedia of Color Science and Technology.
